Two newspaper accounts indicate Ohio State backup quarterback Antonio Henton is leaving the Buckeye program. The “Statesboro Herald” quotes an unidentified ESPN writer as saying Henton told his teammates Wednesday that he was transferring to one-double-A Georgia Southern. The Columbus Dispatch tracked down head coach Jim Tressel for his reaction, but all he would say was that Henton, quote, “is a good kid.” No one with Georgia Southern is talking, either. Statesboro is only 150 miles away from Fort Valley, where Henton grew up. If Henton goes through with it, he could play right away, with three years of eligibility left.
