Pitt Panthers Snare Top Defensive End

Lippert

The Pittsburgh Panthers landed one of the top defensive ends in the country for their 2009 recruiting class on Friday, receiving a verbal commitment from four-star recruit Jack Lippert.

The 6-5, 250-pound Lippert will be a senior this season at Central Dauphine High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he has been a four-year starter.

Considered one of the nation’s best pass-rushers, Lippert is rated as the fifth-best defensive end in the 2009 recruiting class by Rivals.com.  He chose Pitt over Penn State, West Virginia, and Maryland among others.
