The Connecticut Huskies added a top prospect to their 2009 recruiting class today, receiving a verbal commitment from Pennsylvania prep star Tevrin Brandon.
A 5-10, 175-pound defensive back with 4.3 speed, Brandon made 51 tackles and a team-high 8 interceptions last season as a junior at Bethlehem Catholic High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Brandon chose Connecticut over Pittsburgh, Penn State, Rutgers, and Boston College among others.
