Virginia Tech Wide Receiver Out For Season

Dillard

The Virginia Tech Hokies have suffered a blow to their 2008 title hopes, losing junior wide receiver Brandon Dillard for the season.

Dillard, one of the fastest players in school history, was expected to be the Hokies’ primary deep threat this season.

Dillard suffered a torn achilles tendon on Wednesday night while participating in an offseason team workout and will undergo surgery next week.  The injury will require 4-6 months of rehabilitation.
