The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have scored a major coup for their 2009 recruiting class, landing highly sought after in-state prospect Tyler Eifert.
Eifert, a 6-5, 225-pound tight end from Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is considered one of the top tight ends in the 2009 recruiting class.
He chose Notre Dame over Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, and Northwestern among others.
