The Memphis Tigers signed a quarterback Tuesday, as former Maryland signee Tyler Bass joined the team to add some badly needed depth to the position. Bass was released from his letter of intent with Maryland after he became unhappy with their plans for him. Bass is enrolled in summer school at Memphis, and will be eligible this fall. His arrival helps fill the void left by the unexpected departures of Matt Malouf and Dallas Walker. Bass will compete with Arkelon Hall and senior Will Hudgens for playing time. Hudgens is currently playing pro baseball, but will rejoin the Tigers this fall.
