The Virginia Tech Hokies will play their 2009 season-opener in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome according to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The game will be played on August 29, 2009 and will match the Hokies against an unnamed SEC team as part of a series of ACC-SEC college football matchups being sponsored by Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A is sponsoring an ACC-SEC season-opener this year that matches the Clemson Tigers against the Alabama Crimson Tide on August 30, and the company is also negotiating a 2010 season-opener that would match the Duke Blue Devils against Alabama.
