Wake Forest Lands Georgia QB

Wake Forest

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons landed the fifteenth commit of their 2009 recruiting class on Monday, receiving a verbal commitment from Georgia prep star Brendan Cross.

Cross, a 6-2, 200-pound quarterback, passed for over 1,500 yards last season as a junior at Chattahoochee High School in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Cross is the son of former NFL star Randy Cross, a three-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman and a member of three Super Bowl winning teams while playing for the San Francisco 49ers from 1976-1988.

Cross chose Wake Forest over Georgia Tech, Duke, and North Carolina State among others.
