Mississippi State Gets Highly-Rated Running Back

Conner

The Mississippi State Bulldogs scored a major coup for their 2009 recruiting class on Friday, landing Louisiana prep star Montrell Conner.

Considered one of the nation’s top running backs, the 6-2, 220-pound Conner rushed for 1,139 yards and 13 touchdowns last season as a junior at Ouachita Parish High School in Monroe, Louisiana.

Conner chose Mississippi State over Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and USC among others.
