As the Memphis Tigers opened fall practice Monday, coach Tommy West said he expects junior college transfer Arkelon Hall to be his starting quarterback when the season opens. Hall comes to the Tigers after a season at College of the Sequoias in California. He originally signed with Washington State, but never played there, in part due to an injury. Senior Will Hudgens will be listed behind Hall on the depth chart, with freshman Tyler Bass also available. Hudgens started two games and played in all 13 last season for the 7-and-6 Tigers, as they earned their fourth bowl appearance in five years. Memphis opens its season August 30th, at Ole Miss.
