The Stanford Cardinal scored a major coup for their 2009 recruiting class today, landing Texas prep star Stepfan Taylor.
A 5-11, 200-pound running back, Taylor rushed for 1.586 yards and 21 touchdowns last season as a junior at Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Texas.
The highly-regarded Taylor chose Stanford over Notre Dame, Nebraska, Texas, and Texas A&M among others.
