Crimson Tide Completes Walk Through in Final Day Before Championship Game

The Alabama Crimson Tide football team conducted its final walk-through at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Sunday as the Allstate BCS National Championship game arrives on Monday.

“I think our players have enjoyed the trip here,” Alabama head coach Nick Saban said. “Certainly it’s been a wonderful experience for them to this point, and they’re looking forward to the opportunity that they have tomorrow night.”

The Crimson Tide kicked off the day with a press conference that featured the two head coaches, Saban and Les Miles. The team then headed to the Superdome for its walk-through and to take the team picture.

“It was a little bit special yesterday at practice for me,” Saban said. “This group, from the time we played Michigan State in the bowl game last year, has made a commitment to do the right things, do things in the right way, and I’ve been very pleased and proud. You always have a good association with a team that makes those kinds of commitments and tries to do the right stuff. That’s one of the things that we’ve been most proud of in terms of earning the right to have an opportunity to play in a championship game.”
