The Arizona Wildcats‘ final recruiting push got a kick-start late Sunday night, when cornerback Jamar Allah — a two-star recruit from Phoenix’s North Canyon High School — flipped his verbal commitment from Arizona State to the UA.
He’ll sign a national letter-of-intent with the Wildcats on Wednesday, according to the Scout.com recruiting service.
Allah was solid as a senior, registering 34 tackles and intercepting one pass for a Rattlers team that went 6-5. The 6-foot-1-inch, 190-pound Allah chose Arizona over offers from ASU, Colorado, Montana, Utah State and Wyoming. He visited Laramie, Wyo., last weekend before choosing the Wildcats.
Allah is the 20th player to verbally commit to Arizona’s 2012 recruiting class, and the third to join in two days. Key West, Fla. wide receiver Clive Georges and Satellite Beach, Fla. running back J.T. Washington both told coaches of their plans Sunday night.
