Joe Hamilton is resigning his position with Georgia Tech following his arrest on charges of drunk driving, hit-and-run, marijuana possession and open container. Tech football coach Paul Johnson says he sadly accepted Joe’s resignation, offering any support he could to the 1999 Heisman Trophy runner-up and ex-team quarterback. Hamilton was pulled over shortly after midnight by a Georgia Tech police officer where officers reported they smelled alcohol on his breath. Police say Hamilton then admitted to hitting another vehicle from behind, then failed a series of sobriety tests. Hamilton joined the Tech football staff to assist with recruiting and help the players.

Former Georgia Tech quarterback Joe Hamilton is out on bond this morning after being arrested on hit-and-run and DUI charges. Police say Hamilton drove off after rear-ending another car. Once pulled over, an open bottle of beer and some marijuana were found in his car, according to officers. Hamilton currently works for the Georgia Tech as an assistant director of player personnel. The thirty-one year-old apologized to the Tech community and to his family shortly after a bond hearing. Tech AD Dan Radakovich says appropriate action will be taken upon completion of the investigation.

1. Atlanta Falcons — Fili Moala, DT, USC

Atlanta finally gets its playmaking interior defensive lineman. Moala has flown under the radar to this point but he should emerge from the shadow of 2008 No. 7 overall pick Sedrick Ellis and become one of the elite defenders in college football this fall.

2. Detroit Lions — Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech

Coach Rod Marinelli’s defense is predicated on speed up front, and Johnson is blessed with plenty of that. Johnson was overlooked while playing in a rotation last season, but it won’t take long for the rangy edge-rusher to make his mark in 2008.

3. Kansas City Chiefs — Matt Stafford*, QB, Georgia

Another injury-plagued and disappointing season out of fragile QB Brodie Croyle will force the Chiefs to address the position with this high draft pick in 2009. If the supremely talented Stafford continues to progress as he did last fall, he could easily emerge as a top-five pick next April.

4. Miami Dolphins — Al Woods, DT, LSU

At 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, Woods is a physically imposing defensive tackle with enough size and strength to anchor the middle of a 3-4 defense.

5. Cincinnati Bengals — Sen’Derrick Marks*, DT, Auburn

The Bengals got shut out in their pursuit of an elite defensive tackle in this year’s draft, but 2009 will be more kind. Marks is an undersized playmaker with the first-step quickness to disrupt as a 3-technique tackle, which is exactly what Marvin Lewis’ defense needs along its front.

6. Oakland Raiders — Andre Smith*, OT, Alabama

Smith stepped in immediately as the Tide’s starting left tackle and continues to improve with more coaching and game experience. The Raiders could enlist a player with his kind of skills to take care of their most recent first-round investments in QB JaMarcus Russell and RB Darren McFadden.

7. Chicago Bears — Tim Tebow*, QB, Florida

It’s almost certain that the Bears will need a quarterback come next offseason. Unfortunately, next year’s crop of signal-callers does not look promising at this point. Bears fans won’t be thrilled if the team uses a high pick on another Gators quarterback following the failed Rex Grossman experiment, but Tebow’s unique blend of skills and rare intangibles might be too good to pass up. Should Tebow elect to leave school early, however, his uncommon skill set could make him the most difficult prospect at any position to grade.

8. San Francisco 49ers — Michael Oher, OT, Mississippi

Oher, who possesses the size and athletic ability to develop into an upper-echelon starting tackle in the NFL, would make an ideal bookend opposite 2007 first-rounder Joe Staley.

9. St. Louis Rams — Rey Maualuga, ILB, USC

Maualuga is the top senior prospect on my 2009 draft board at this insanely early point in the process, although he wouldn’t be the first senior off the board. I’ve never seen a defensive player take over a game the way Maualuga did versus Illinois in the Rose Bowl, and his recognition skills are clearly catching up with his rare physical tools.

10. New York Jets — Knowshon Moreno*, RB, Georgia

Moreno burst onto the scene as a redshirt freshman in 2007 and he should build on that momentum as a first-year starter behind a more mature offensive line during the upcoming season. The Jets were not able to land McFadden in this year’s draft but Moreno would be worth the wait if he’s available in 2009.

11. Tennessee Titans — Michael Crabtree*, WR, Texas Tech

Do not pigeonhole Crabtree; he’s not just a product of coach Mike Leach’s pass-crazy offense. The tall, long-armed receiver could be the go-to-target QB Vince Young so desperately needs.

12. Houston Texans — Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio State

Jenkins made a wise decision to return as a senior. He needs to improve his footwork and overall man-to-man cover skills to prove to scouts he’s capable of playing corner in any scheme at the next level. Regardless, the Texans could use his ball-hawking skills in their secondary, no matter whether it’s at cornerback or safety.

13. Denver Broncos — James Laurinaitis, ILB, Ohio State

Laurinaitis surprised many NFL scouts when he elected to return to Columbus for his senior season. Assuming he continues to make progress in 2008, there’s no reason to believe he will fall out of the top 20 picks in next year’s draft. The instinctive, high-motor inside linebacker would be a nice addition to a Denver defense in search of more stout defenders up the middle.

14. Baltimore Ravens — Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois

The Ravens need an upgrade at corner and a young playmaker like Davis, who possesses rare athleticism for his size, would be an ideal fit.

15. Philadelphia Eagles (from CAR) — Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland

The Eagles failed to land a go-to-receiver in the 2008 draft (no, DeSean Jackson does not qualify). Instead of going the free-agent route to land a weapon for veteran QB Donovan McNabb, they might as well use one of two first-round picks in ‘09 on a future primary target for future QB Kevin Kolb.

16. Arizona Cardinals — LeSean McCoy*, RB, Pittsburgh

After Arizona failed to find a complement for Edgerrin James in this year’s draft, the Cardinals’ need at running back will be far more pressing in the spring of ‘09. McCoy is a supremely talented sophomore who is draft eligible after spending a year in prep school, and he is reportedly already eyeing the 2009 draft.

17. Buffalo Bills — Travis Beckum, TE, Wisconsin

Beckum could emerge as a top-20 pick if he can add 10-15 pounds to his frame while maintaining his big-play ability as a receiver during his senior season.

18. Philadelphia Eagles — Phil Loadholt, OT, Oklahoma

After failing to land one of the record-setting seven offensive tackles selected in the first round of this year’s draft, coach Andy Reid will be craving a big fella like Loadholt in 2009.

19. Washington Redskins — Greg Hardy*, DE, Mississippi

Hardy is flying under the radar right now despite notching 10 solo sacks the past two seasons, and the Redskins will be looking for a young pass-rushing threat after failing to land one during the latest draft.

20. Minnesota Vikings — Percy Harvin*, WR/RS, Florida

Staying healthy for a full season would all but guarantee Harvin a spot in the first round of the NFL draft, either next year or in 2010.

21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Ciron Black, OT, LSU

The Bucs will be looking to enlist the services of a talented left tackle prospect such as Black, who displays quick feet for a 6-5, 315-pounder.

22. Green Bay Packers — Max Unger, OT, Oregon

Unger, who projects as a first-day pick in next year’s draft, is the type of versatile lineman the Packers typically covet.

23. Cleveland Browns — Ricky Sapp, DE/OLB, Clemson

Sapp is an up-and-coming talent with outstanding speed and pass-rushing potential. He should fit perfectly as a rush linebacker in a 3-4 scheme like the one employed in Cleveland.

24. Seattle Seahawks — Duke Robinson, G, Oklahoma

The Seahawks are still looking for a long-term solution at left guard, so why not use this pick on the player who is at this point the top prospect at that position.

25. Pittsburgh Steelers — Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU

Jackson is among the elite senior defensive prospects right now but that might not hold up for 12 full months, as he’s simply not a great fit for every team’s defensive scheme. At 6-5 and 290, Jackson is best suited to play defensive end in a three-man front like the one employed in Pittsburgh.

26. New Orleans Saints — Gerald McRath, OLB, Southern Miss

The Saints will be looking for an injection of youth and athleticism at linebacker and the speedy, undersized McRath falls in line with that objective.

27. New York Giants — Brandon Spikes, ILB, Florida

The Giants could use a quick and powerful tackling machine like Spikes after failing to address that need early in the 2008 draft.

28. Jacksonville Jaguars — William Moore, S, Missouri

Moore emerged as a playmaking machine in 2007, when he notched 114 tackles and eight interceptions. At 6-1 and 215 pounds he could be the versatile strong safety Jacksonville needs opposite FS Reggie Nelson.

29. Indianapolis Colts — Vance Walker, DT/DE, Georgia Tech

Walker has the right blend of tools to provide depth along the interior of Indianapolis’ quick-but-undersized defensive line.

30. San Diego Chargers — Auston English, DE/OLB, Oklahoma

English is an instinctive, high-motor player with very good speed and fluid hips for a young defensive end. He already has experience dropping into coverage on zone-blitz looks within Oklahoma’s complex defensive scheme.

31. Dallas Cowboys — Demetrius Byrd, WR, LSU

Wide receiver is the one area Dallas did not address during an otherwise promising 2008 draft. Byrd has a lot to prove as a senior but he certainly has the blend of size and deep speed it takes to emerge as a first-round draft pick.

32. New England Patriots — Brian Cushing, OLB, USC

The Patriots continue a recent trend of drafting linebackers by using this selection on the versatile Cushing. The 6-5, 248-pounder has experience on the strong side and as a rush linebacker, which will be attractive to a New England coaching staff that likes versatility in its linebackers.

RIVALS.Com Coverage Of Terrelle Pryor’s Decision To Sign With The Scarlet & Gray…

How will Pryor Fit Into This Year’s Plans

More Insight On OSU’s Situation: The Start Of A Legacy

Getting Offensive - Bringing Back The Option: As time progressed, Terrelle Pryor knew he was headed to the Big Ten. However, he had yet to decide between Ohio State and Michigan. After much research and discussion, Pryor announced on Wednesday he’s going to be a Buckeye.

“It was just the right fit,” Pryor told Rivals.com late Tuesday night. “The coaches, the comfort level, the players and the signing class they had. I am very comfortable with all of it, and I became friendly with the other recruits throughout the process.

“But in the end it came down to what was right for me. And after a lot of thinking, talking and consideration, it came down to Ohio State.”

Pryor was concerned about early playing time at Ohio State because the Buckeyes boast all-conference quarterback Todd Boeckman, but the overall fit in Columbus just felt better. “I can’t see myself sitting and not playing, that’s the tough part,” Pryor said. “I certainly don’t want to redshirt. But being brought along a little slowly might be the best thing for me in the long run, and I have to look at that. I’m not sure if being thrown to the wolves and starting from Day One would be best for me. I know college is a big step up and there’s a lot to learn.”

There has been talk of Pryor being utilized like Tim Tebow was during his freshman year at Florida.

“If that happens, then that’s what happens,” he said. “I’m going in to compete as hard as I can and we’ll see where I fit in. I trust the coaches to use me the best way they can.”

Michigan’s zone-read offense under Rich Rodriguez was very tempting to Pryor, especially since Rodriguez has had so much success with it at West Virginia. Without Pryor, it doesn’t appear the Wolverines have the type of quarterback necessary to run Rodriguez’s scheme effectively.

“Michigan is a great school and it was a tough decision,” Pryor said. “I like the coaches there. I’ve known them since they were at West Virginia. I seriously considered them right up until the end, but Ohio State was where I felt it.”

Any Takers, 40 PPG A Reality: Ohio State hasn’t typically run a zone-read offense, which was a concern for Pryor. However, after further research, he feels he’ll be a better quarterback in the end because of it.

Ohio State hasn’t typically run a zone-read offense, which was a concern for Pryor. However, after further research, he feels he’ll be a better quarterback in the end because of it.

“Troy Smith ran some zone-read stuff early in his career, and then he developed into a pocket passer and did a lot of stuff out of the shotgun,” Pryor said. “He became a better quarterback - not just an athlete - by the time he was done. I feel I can do the same. Both schools said they would utilize my athletic ability in the offense, but I think I can be more well-rounded at Ohio State.”

What’s Next: Pryor is happy to be done with the decision.

“This has been very tough,” he said. “I didn’t really like the attention, and it got worse after I didn’t decide. But I had to do what was right for me and my family. I’m excited about the decision.”

“Ohio State has said all along that it will revamp the offense for Pryor’s talents once he gets on the field,” Noon said. “That will hold true with specific packages and personnel sets that they will run with him in there while he is sharing time early in his career. Pryor will never be a drop-back passer in the mold of Todd Boeckman, and the Buckeyes are not going to try and turn him into something that he is not.

The top recruit, 6-foot 6, 230-pound QB Terrelle Pryor is now a Buckeye. Pryor has made the decision to join up with Ohio State, teaming up with Chris Wells in what will be an explosive, dynamite backfield, reminiscent of the days when Tommie Fraizer lined up with Lawrence Phillips and Ahman Green in Nebraska, when they ran the option and ground attack to perfection during the mid 90s, reeling off back-to-back titles from ‘94-95. Watch out Big Ten, as I can already envision Michigan and other foes on OSU’s schedule planning on how to defend Pryor and Wells. USC (Sept. 13) will be hosting the 1-2 punch at the L.A. Coliseum, a game where the winner could be the National Champion. For More Insight And What This Means About Pryor’s Decision Check Out NCAA Gridiron Gab.Com Later In The Day.

Wednesday at Noon the final verdict will be made!

Ohio State Bound: The recruiting process for Jeannette, Pa., quarterback Terrelle Pryor, the nation’s No. 1 player, will end when he announces his college choice at noon ET Wednesday at the Jeannette High School auditorium. Pryor has said publicly it is down to two schools, but won’t say which two. Here’s Rivals.com National Recruiting Analyst Mike Farrell’s take on the situation:

“I spoke to Terrelle late Sunday night after hearing about the Associated Press article where he said he was deciding this week,” said Farrell. “I knew he was going to say something about his football recruiting situation after that game, but wasn’t sure if he was going to narrow things down, give a date of his decision or what. We had discussed some things off the record; he just didn’t want it out there and he had some good reasons. I think he knew last week.”

The timing of the 6-foot-6, 235-pounder’s public comments shouldn’t be overlooked according to Farrell.

“Terrelle was hoping he would be playing for a state title in basketball on Penn State’s campus on Saturday, so there were certain things he didn’t want public last week and still doesn’t really want out there,” Farrell continued. “He has done his research. He has talked to the coaches - as well as players and recruits - from his top two teams. Now it seems like he’s ready to get it over with even though he has until April 1.”

Farrell feels the two schools he’s choosing between are obvious.

“To me, it’s Ohio State and Michigan,” Farrell said. “Had he eliminated Penn State before the basketball title game in State College, things could have gotten a little ugly or at least distracted the basketball team. There could have been some signs, some hecklers, just some general distractions that he didn’t want. I also don’t think he has ever wanted to disrespect Penn State in any way. Some of the things he’s said about Penn State like not liking the area and such, that’s just who he is – he’s honest and tells it like it is. He loves coach Tom Bradley and has great respect for Joe Paterno, he’s always said that. I know he really wanted to win the state title and didn’t want his football issues to get in the way of things for his basketball teammates.”

Pryor scored 23 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead his team to a 76-72 overtime win over Strawberry Mansion in the Class AA title game Saturday. Shortly thereafter, he told the AP he’s going to sign his letter of intent and end the recruiting process.

Buckeyes or Wolverines: “He didn’t even remember saying that he narrowed it down to two or whatever and didn’t know who he said it to, but he said it was accurate,” said Farrell. “He has a great deal of respect for all the coaches that have recruited him, so he doesn’t want to say one team finished second or third. I expect to see four hats (Oregon, Penn State, Michigan and Ohio State) on the table if he does the hat deal when deciding, but he’s down to two for sure.

“He wouldn’t tell me which two though, and I didn’t press him,” Farrell said. “But look at it this way. He waited until after he finished his game at Penn State to make this announcement, and he was on campus strictly for hoops - which means he never took his planned official visit to Happy Valley. He has never been to Oregon, so that leaves Ohio State and Michigan.”

Pryor will talk to the head coaches at his final two schools this week before deciding.

“He spoke to Joe Paterno Sunday night and I got the impression that coach Paterno was not one of those two head coaches,” Farrell said. “I think he talks to Rich Rodriguez and Jim Tressel this week, talks it over one more time with his family and then decides.”

Farrell said Pryor had hoped to visit Penn State as well as take day trips to Ohio State and Michigan with his mother before deciding.

“He said that’s not happening now,” Farrell continued. “He said it’s his decision and his parents are backing him all the way. Is there a chance he sneaks in a visit to Penn State between now and when he decides? There’s always that chance, but it didn’t sound like it was in the plans reading between the lines.”

If Penn State is truly out, is Pryor’s father, Craig, OK with that? After all, it was Craig who wanted his son to delay signing so Penn State could get an official visit.

Scarlet & Gray or Maize & Blue: “I think he wanted to take his time and make sure he was making the right choice,” Farrell said. “He respected his family’s input, which is why he held off on Signing Day. His dad wanted him to give another look to Penn State. I know Terrelle talked to a few Western Pennsylvania guys currently on Penn State’s team recently about the coaching situation up there and the atmosphere. He did some research on his own, and I think his dad is good with that.”

So if it’s Ohio State and Michigan, who wins?

“To me, I’d be stunned if he picked anyplace but Ohio State,” Farrell stated. “He did say he was still doing research on Michigan and that he didn’t know, as of Sunday night, where he was going. But I think he’s pretty sure. He took that one-day trip to Ohio State for a basketball game recently, and he’s friendly with Ohio State signees like Michael Brewster and J.B. Shugarts. He really likes the area, the coaching staff and everything. There have been stunning decisions before and I’ve been wrong before, but Ohio State is my guess and has been for a long time.”

Did Pryor ever attempt to get to Penn State for that official visit?

“I think he was going to take it the same weekend his father, Craig, had emergency heart surgery a couple of weekends ago,” Farrell said. “There was a small window of opportunity to visit Penn State, but it didn’t happen.”

As for a date for the decision, Pryor indicated to Farrell he was still unsure of the particulars.

“I got a text from him Monday morning telling me I’d know when he does,” Farrell said. “He’s trying to work that out with his coach and principal. It is looking like it will be either Thursday or Friday of this week. He knows he’s going to have to do a news conference, although he’d rather just pick a school and end this.

“A lot of people said he did this for the attention, but I know that’s not true. He barely spoke to any media following Signing Day and some of the criticism really hit him hard. Once he decided to delay his decision, he wanted to wait until basketball was over to choose. It’s over now, and it’s decision time.”

Inside Info: One source who only spoke on condition of anonymity, but is very close to the situation has informed us that Michigan has made up a lot of ground recently and could be the wild card in this situation.

“Several very influential Michigan players past and present and other NFL people have been telling him that Michigan would be the best move for his future,” our source said. “Ohio State looks to be the front-runner, but I wouldn’t close the door on Michigan just yet.”

“I’m pretty sure they know I’m coming,” Pryor stated. “I just want to get this whole thing over with and move on.

And so the Terrelle Pryor saga, arguably the most hyped college football recruiting decision in history, is coming to an end.

Developing Shocking Twist Worth Believing: QB Terrelle Pryor, a blue chipper and the top QB recruit in the nation is still undecided where he will go, so what does the young budding star do? He adds another school to his list, a list that’s still up in the air (depending on who you believe) as he gave Memphis, among all the schools to take a look at, a visit last weekend. Inside sources are in “awe” but I believe he is just entertaining offers until he signs April 1st with his top choice - the “Scarlet and Gray”. Apparently Memphis has been more effective than any other basketball program, and virtually every football program, in persuading Pryor to visit.

Basketball Mindset, OSU Afterthought: There is no secret that Ohio State is #1 on Pryor’s lengthy list of possible destinations, but Memphis is giving him an offer that he may not refuse, one that’s very intriguing - the opportunity to play both sports. Very reliable sources in Memphis report that the possibility to cash in with the “Benjamin’s” with hoops surpasses and downgrades the risks from playing Division I Football in the Big Ten or any other major football conference. Even if he does take his game to the next level as expected, the risk of a serious injury is so great that it doesn’t make sense to even try?

A curious question involves even trying Memphis. Would spending a season at Memphis be an improvement over sitting out next season until he turns 19?

Memphis does have a rising situation that the rest of the football and basketball programs recruiting the Jeannette High School standout, for the most part, have not had. Assuming that Pryor’s father will go along on the visit, the Tigers will have to prove that the trip can be done with little or no discomfort for his father, who is wheelchair bound.

It gets even more interesting, however. Will Terrelle’s parents be able to attend every game that the want to see? Traveling from Pittsburgh to Memphis is not your normal, everyday walk in the park so to say.

Obviously Memphis is a not a traditional football power like some of the other schools that are interested in Pryor, but the Tigers boast one of the top basketball programs in the nation and will likely be placed as a #1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Tigers 1 Of A Kind: Neither Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State or Oregon have offered Pryor the opportunity to play basketball and football, according to the report.

Pryor, the 6-foot 6, 235-pound dual threat, will also visit Penn State this Saturday after already re-visiting Ohio State University (16 days ago) on his own, as early rumors by experts indicate the Buckeyes presenting themselves as the #1 spot for this “4.4″ (40) speed blazer to land.

RIVALS.Com Presents To You: The “Scariest Offensive Weapons” In The Game Today! By The Way, Mizzou’s Blazing Speedster Do-It-All Jeremy Maclin Should Be Ranked #1 - But I’ll Leave The Debating Up To You The Readers!

8. USC TB Joe McKnight: He rushed for “only” 540 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman last season, but he never got more than 14 carries and had only 36 rushes through the first seven games. He had touchdown runs of 59 and 51 yards, ripped off a 65-yard run against Illinois in the Rose Bowl and was effective on punt returns and as a receiver. McKnight figures to have a greater role this season.

7. Oklahoma TB DeMarco Murray: The Texas Longhorns can attest to Murray’s game-breaking ability. His 65-yard touchdown run turned the tide in last season’s 28-21 OU victory. That was one of seven touchdowns Murray scored from at least 20 yards. He also scored on kickoff returns of 91 and 81 yards and had a 92-yard touchdown run. He rushed for 764 yards – averaging 6 yards per carry – despite playing much of the season in a reserve role and missing the final three games because of injury.

6. Clemson TB C.J. Spiller: A threat on runs, receptions and returns, Spiller scored five touchdowns that covered at least 44 yards last season - including four of at least 68 yards. He returned two kickoffs for touchdowns while averaging 28.8 yards per return. Still, he touched the ball on fewer than 14 plays from scrimmage per game. If Clemson makes it a point to get him the ball more, he could be really scary this fall.

5. Ohio State TB Chris Wells: Playing defense against Wells is like trying to suppress a sneeze … no, no, no, then he blasts through. If a hard-running 235-pounder plowing ahead isn’t scary enough, he’s also fast enough to break off long runs. He frequently demonstrated that ability last season – his first as a starter. Wells had several runs of more than 40 yards, including touchdowns from 62 yards against Michigan and 65 against LSU.

4. Florida WR Percy Harvin: Although he missed two games, Harvin still rushed for 764 yards and had another 858 yards receiving. He averaged 11.4 yards each time he touched the ball, and each of his six rushing touchdowns covered at least 10 yards. He posted more than 200 all-purpose yards in three games, and that’s without returning kicks. Harvin was a big factor in Florida winning the 2006 national title, and he will be a big factor in the Gators contending in 2008.

3. Texas Tech WR Michael Crabtree: If 134 catches, 1,962 yards and 22 touchdowns aren’t scary enough, consider that Crabtree was just a redshirt freshman last season. He’s a big target with the hands of a reliable possession receiver. But he also had 10 touchdown receptions that covered at least 20 yards, which shows he can get deep and/or break tackles and make a short pass a big play.

2. Missouri WR Jeremy Maclin: He was the only player in the nation last season to score touchdowns via receiving, rushing and kickoff and punt returns, and he did it all as a redshirt freshman. In fact, Maclin set an NCAA freshman record for all-purpose yardage with 2,776 yards. Six of his nine touchdown receptions covered at least 24 yards. He returned two punts for touchdowns and also had a 99-yard kickoff return. He averaged almost 14 yards every time he touched the ball.

1. West Virginia QB Pat White/West Virginia TB Noel Devine: One of just three players to rush and pass for 1,000 yards last season, White scored seven touchdowns on rushes of at least 20 yards. That included a game-winning 50-yard burst against Louisville. A better passer than most think, White also threw 14 touchdown passes, including four that covered at least 30 yards. Meanwhile, Devine averaged a whopping 8.6 yards per carry as Steve Slaton’s true freshman understudy last season. Devine had five touchdown runs of at least 10 yards, including a clinching 65-yarder against Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. His season-long run covered 76 yards, and he did this all on just 73 carries. Slaton won’t be around next season, so Devine should be even scarier.
